About Paws Place

Paws Place is a no-kill, non-profit shelter dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation, and adoption of dogs. Upon arrival, each of our dogs is fully vetted and examined. Before they are available for adoption, they are spayed or neutered, given all age-appropriate vaccinations, started on heartworm preventative, microchipped, and showered with love and affection. We operate entirely on donations, volunteers, staff, and an unending love for animals.

Our History

At Paws Place, our mission is life, and it's one life at a time. Since 1999, we have rescued, rehabilitated, and adopted dogs. As a 501C3, non-profit organization we rely completely on the generosity of individuals and businesses in our area who provide us with the much-needed financial support to run our organization.

We do not shy away from pulling heartworm positive dogs with the understanding that potential adopters and other rescues often do not have the resources to commit to paying for treatment. We also accept many complex medical cases including dogs that require specialty surgeries (IE: Orthopedic, Ophthalmic, etc) who have a good prognosis with treatment.
