The South Carolina Black Maternal Health Collective (SCBMHC) is a grassroots organization that is committed to nurturing and empowering the women in our communities by standing with our mothers, girls and families throughout every step of their maternal and reproductive health journey. Our mission is rooted in the deep understanding that our voices matter, our lives matter, and our health matters. We recognize the historical and systemic disparities that have led to alarming rates of maternal mortality and morbidity among women of color, and we are here to change that narrative.
