This Giving Tuesday help me raise money for Dance Project of Washington Heights. I have the privilege of being an instructor and the General Manager at this special nonprofit organization that is bringing dance education to the Upper Manhattan community. As a professional dancer I know the great financial sacrifices and commitments that my parents made to help me get where I am. I was fortunate to have their support and the support of my institution scholarships. However, not everyone has access to that level of support and resources. Dance Project of Washington Heights is a pay-what-you-can program making dance accessible to anyone and everyone! 75% of our students are Hispanic/Latinx as we serve a large immigrant population in the heights and 25% of students pay our level tuition; paying as low as $25 a month for one dance class a week. The average DAILY cost for a dance class in New York is $25! Your support will help us to be able to continue to provide these low cost classes for babies, young children, teens, and adults.
