The Second Chance Summit ATL came to life in 2025 when a group of individuals from public, private and nonprofit sectors created a committee to host an inaugural summit. Collective strength has proven to be very evident in the committee's collaborative approach to serving its system-impacted community.

Often, the journey of reintegration for someone recently released from incarceration is daunting. The Second Chance Committee's mission is to break down the silos that exist in the reentry space to make navigating essential tools and resources convenient through a hosting an informative summit or series of events during Second Chance Month (April) and Reentry Awareness Month (July-GA). During these events, attendees can participate in engaging panel discussions, gather resources, network and find themselves in activities specifically designed to meet their needs.
