Our Story – Why We Play, and Why We Need You

At Miller Music Academy, we believe that every child deserves the chance to make music — no matter their zip code, background, or family income. We are rapidly expanding and need the help of our community to make this vision a reality!

Our story began with a simple idea: what if music education wasn’t a luxury, but a right? We’ve seen firsthand how powerful music can be — it builds confidence, connection, and creativity. However, many students in our community are left out because they don't have access to a quality music program through a public school, and private lessons aren't for everyone! Private lessons also don't give the same benefits to our communities like band and orchestra do. Through music ensembles, students learn empathy and to work together as a team. Public school music programs continue to shrink, and many families are left with no affordable options for the type of music they are passionate about learning!

That’s where we come in. Think of us as music gap insurance for the community!

Miller Music Academy travels directly into schools, community centers, and underserved neighborhoods to teach group music classes, band, and orchestra. We provide a safe, joyful space for students to express themselves, learn new skills, and grow through music. From the first squeak of a clarinet to a full ensemble performance, our students thrive — and many discover a lifelong passion.

But we can’t do it without help.

We’re asking for your support to fund:

• Scholarships for students who can’t afford tuition

• Instrument purchases and repairs for kids who don’t have one of their own

• Music supplies and sheet music for classrooms in need

• Music Teaching Space Rental Costs
