Azalea Montessori Scholarship Fund

Azalea Montessori, a member of the Wildflower Schools Network, serves students ages 3-6 years old in a micro-school setting in Norwood, Ohio.  Azalea Montessori functions in a non-hierarchical structure, allowing teachers to serve both in the classroom and as administrators. While non-traditional, this model has direct implications for the families we serve as teachers are able to tailor their classrooms to the unique needs of the students and the community. Our mission is to provide high quality, nurturing learning environments and to make Montessori education accessible to all families regardless of financial means. Our goal is to create a mutually supportive circle of dedicated families and educators.

Azalea Montessori adheres to an equity principle with a goal that at least 33% of our students are from families living at or below the poverty line.

We believe a child’s unique capacity to adapt to their environment makes childhood the key to the long-term improvement of society. We cultivate this capacity by celebrating diversity and fostering inclusivity. We consider the unique opportunities and challenges facing every child and commit to giving each student what they need to find their purpose and fulfill their potential. This is a significant undertaking and we work to transform ourselves, and our school community, to bring about our vision for justice and peace.
