My name is Alex Fahy, I am a 20-year-old college student living in Arizona. I am running a marathon on October 20th in Grand Rapids Michigan. I chose to run this marathon as an opportunity to test and push my capabilities. I am also using this as an opportunity to raise money for Liam's Life Foundation. I chose Liam's Life because of the love and support Marcus and Mishel have shown me over the past couple of years. Marcus and Mishel lost their 15-month old son Liam because someone decided to get behind the wheel after drinking. In the midst of their loss and grief, they started Liam's Life Foundation to fight drunk driving. Liam's Life Foundation is on a mission to end drunk-driving related fatalities through awareness, education, and legislative change.
Drunk driving fatalities have increased year over year since 2020. In 2022, over 14,000 people were killed in alcohol-related crashes. It's time we stand together, stand with Liam's Life Foundation, and work to make the roads safer for everyone.
Every single drunk driving crash and fatality is 100% preventable.
