Parvo Triplet Puppies Treatment and General Care

May 27th, these three puppies were found running alongside the irrigation canal running down Ray Rd. They had clearly been dumped, though we had no way of knowing when. Over the course of the next three and a half hours, numerous staff members would first "corral" them on the property at the corner of Ray and Sargent Roads, so that they wouldn't be running out in the street, narrowly avoiding being hit by cars, and then work to gain their trust so that we could safely contain them and get them off the street.

It wasn't easy! They were not very trusting, and for the first couple of hours it seemed like we were just doing circles around the house with them, but, thankfully, they didn't run back out into the street, or out into the vineyards, either! Eventually, we were able to move close enough to where they were taking wet food off of our fingertips, but the moment they saw the slip leads, we were back to square one! It was a long morning, but our team never gave up on them, and, eventually one of the female puppies just came up to us and rested her head right at our feet!

We were happy to get them (one male, two females) off the streets, but they were so skinny, and we found out very quickly that they were full of parasites and, unfortunately, Parvo. Without questioning, we immediately gave all three treatment for Parvo, even though the medical expenses for their lifesaving treatment for Parvovirus was not in our budget.

So far our little Cleopatra, Ramses, and Alexandria look like they will make a full recovery, but they are still receiving care and treatment post-Parvo, as well as for underlying medical needs.

We've already spent several thousand dollars on treatment and general care for all three of these puppies, so far. Now we are looking to you, our extended community of animal supporters to help us cover the cost of this life saving treatment. We expect final costs to be between $4,000 and $5,000, so every dollar counts!

Whether it's $10, $15, $25, or more, every dollar counts! Please make sure to add a note that it's for Cleopatra, Ramses and Alexandria's Parvo treatment.

As always, we are deeply grateful for your continued support of our mission to save the lives of stray, abandoned, and surrendered companion animals!
