The Capital District Chapter of NAWIC is over 50 members strong. Our membership is very diverse - we have many women who work out in the field as well as insurance agents, sales individuals, accountants, project managers, business owners and more.

Our Membership Meetings are held monthly; we incorporate the varied interests of the membership by offering events such as hands-on workshops, seminars, building site tours, networking social events, and continuing education courses.

NAWIC is also active in the community. As a Chapter, in the past years we have raised money for:

The Capital Region Food-bank through their CAN-Struction program
The Capital Region YWCA
Veterans & Community Housing Coalition (VCHC)
Girls Inc

NAWIC also seeks to educate and support young women interested in the AEC community by participating in the nationwide Block Kids event that exposes young girls to building competitions.

Our Chapter is also proud offer an annual scholarship to a local high school girl going into college for construction, engineering, or architecture.

Your NAWIC Membership is not only valuable for marketing yourself and your business locally, but the true value of your membership lies within the bonds created both in your Chapter, Region and the Association as whole. We encourage members to attend Regional and National Forums that are held multiple times throughout the year. During our Forums we have many classes and workshops on Leadership, Professional Development and more. Making connections with other women in our industry is what makes us strong!
