Overview

Join "The PSA Beautification Project" and help transform our school's grounds! We're looking for enthusiastic volunteers to refresh the flower beds, ensuring a vibrant and welcoming environment for our children. This project focuses on essential gardening tasks: mulching to suppress weeds and retain moisture, weeding to clear existing beds, and planting new flowers to add color and life. Your involvement, even for a few hours, makes a significant impact, creating a beautiful space where our students can learn and thrive.

Project Objectives

Recruitment: We need dedicated individuals to bring this project to life! We're actively seeking additional Project Leaders to steer our efforts and numerous volunteers to get their hands dirty. This is a fantastic opportunity for both students and parents to fulfill mandatory volunteer hours.
Funding & Donations: To ensure we have all the necessary mulch and plants, we aim to secure funding or donations for supplies. Every contribution, big or small, will directly support our beautification efforts. Any businesses or families willing to donate mulch or flowers would be greatly appreciated.
Community Connection: Beyond the plants, this project is about people. We want to connect new families with our experienced families and introduce them to the Parents Association, fostering a stronger, more welcoming school community.

Plan Specifications

Here's how we'll bring our vision to life:

Concrete Crack Treatment: To prevent unsightly growth, we'll spray weed killer on the cracks in the concrete around the school, ensuring a neat and well-maintained appearance.
Island & Entryway Overhaul: We'll tackle the existing landscape by weeding and mulching and edging all four islands and the school's main entryway. This will create a clean and tidy foundation.
Entryway Enhancement: We'll add a pop of color and beauty by planting new flowers in the entryway, making a welcoming first impression for everyone who arrives.
New Signage Flowerbed: A key focus will be creating a new flowerbed along the main signage in front of the school, near the road and intersection. This prominent location will showcase our efforts and enhance the school's curb appeal.
