I was diagnosed with Invasive Ductal Carcinoma in December 2013, following a routine annual mammogram. One month later I had a double mastectomy and began treatment for Stage 2 breast cancer. I underwent 2 more breast surgeries that year. Six months into my cancer journey I found an amazing group called Project31. I came to learn this group is a Jesus loving, Survivor supporting, family encouraging bunch of breast cancer Survivors! I was not prepared for the emotional and mental game that is breast cancer. Project31 gave me value in my journey and purpose to my pain.
Project31 is a mission with a time limit! 2021 has been a particularly tough year within our community. We have experienced A LOT of loss. Our purpose is to minister to the physical, emotional, and mental needs of our Survivor Sisters, all with the intent of being able to speak to their spiritual needs as well. For some, this time is running out.
Won't you please help me, to help them?
I am honored to serve on staff as Outreach Coordinator for this amazing group. In this capacity, I am privileged to be the first-line communicator with new Survivors everyday. I have spoken to groups in the medical field, women's ministry functions, and private citizens about what God had done in my life through Project31. But I can't do it alone.
As a 501(c)3 non-profit, Project31 is dependent upon your contributions to help us get valuable information into the hands of Survivors. Project31 is an Oklahoma based non-profit, but God has blessed us with outreach into 38 states and 3 countries! YOU can be a part of this amazing ministry. If you are not able to attend our annual Paint the Town Pink fundraiser, perhaps you will consider making a donation to my team as a way to further this wonderful work. Thank you for supporting me as I push my fears to the wayside and focus on the strength and courage God has given me through my own battle with breast cancer. God bless you!
Claiming God's word: Joshua 1:9 "Be strong and courageous, for the Lord your God is with you."
Yes, He is!
