Pangolin Conservation and Protection

Pangolins are gentle, nocturnal creatures vital to their ecosystems—yet they are disappearing fast. As the most illegally trafficked mammal on the planet, pangolins are targeted for their scales and meat, driving several species toward extinction.

At Global Conservation Force, we are committed to turning the tide for pangolins through a multi-pronged conservation strategy that combines frontline protection, community education, and species-specific research.

Your support powers critical work in pangolin conservation:

  • Field Ranger & K9 Anti-Trafficking Units: We fund and equip ranger teams and K9 units trained to detect pangolin trafficking, intercept illegal wildlife trade routes, and respond to poaching threats in real-time.

  • Live Pangolin Tracking & Monitoring: In collaboration with researchers and partner organizations, we help track live pangolins in the wild to better understand their movement, behavior, and habitat needs—essential data for long-term protection.

  • Community Outreach & Education: We work within communities to raise awareness about the importance of pangolins in the ecosystem, reduce demand for illegal wildlife products, and build local pride in pangolin conservation.

  • Support for Pangolin Rehabilitation & Release: GCF provides financial and logistical support to veterinary teams and sanctuaries working to rescue, rehabilitate, and reintroduce pangolins back into the wild.

Pangolins are elusive, vulnerable, and irreplaceable. With your help, we can protect them from the shadow of extinction and give them a future in the wild where they belong.
