Please join us as for an immersive experience with a conceptual textile art installation followed by a meditational sonic journey.

All ages are welcome, and kids 12 and under are free!

4:00 to 6:00 pm. Textile Artist Kyrié Joyce will present a multi-sensory meditation on the human experience during an open house and afternoon tea; sound design by Raphi. This is a free art opening, and all are invited.

The ticketed event is from 6:15 to 7 pm. Zooey Seraphine will perform a Sonic Journey in dialogue with the art installation. This original and unique meditative sound performance is a ticketed event.

Tickets for the Sonic Journey are $16 in advance or $20 at the door.

About Kyrie Joyce :

Kyrié is a multidisciplinary artist exploring the philosophies and practices of nature, transformation, and devotion.
artist statement

As an artist, I am most interested in uncovering those human impulses that show up as commonalities underlying all cultures and histories -- i.e., the impulse to make meaning and make sense of the seasons, cycles, fertility, life, and death.

With my art, I seek to impart the sensation of being alive and the sensation of contemplation on life and joy. My inquiry is into that which we seek and that which we need, as individual humans and as a collective. I hope to reconnect the bonding threads within ourselves, to each other, to nature, and to the earth.

My work is informed by my study of philosophy, ceremony, ritual, and artisanal devotion in various cultures across the globe. I focus on fibers and clay, ancient media of tactile, slow processes that lend themselves to profound transformation.
Beyond all, I hope to inspire, with a bit of magic, a dash of healing, and a good deal of pondering that which is beyond our "reality."

About Zooey Seraphine:

ZEN Seraphine (artist name for Zooey Seraphine, M.A.S.S.) is a professional sound therapist, recording artist, multi-instrumentalist, and composer. A lifelong musician, Zooey Seraphine discovered the power of music to help her cope with anxiety and transform trauma from a very early age.

She received her Master’s in Social Sciences with an emphasis in Applied Anthropology from Georgia Southern University on full scholarship and graduate research assistantship. As an intern and later a contract anthropologist, Zooey spent several years working with an awareness education and mindbody wellness program for migrant women who had experienced interpersonal violence. To further her research, she trained extensively in meditation techniques, dream therapy, CORE transformation, and other experiential therapies.
