Parent and Student Success (PASS) Program

Concept:

A program designed to generate parent involvement in their child’s education and a reciprocal involvement of student support of parent to increase parent participation and student attendance, academic achievement, behavior management, and family cohesiveness while attending school.

Implication:

The parent and student will attend and work together as a team within the PASS Program: As a result of having access to resources to become successful at meeting academic achievement in core knowledge, homework, test preparation, study skills, access to life skill workshops to impact emotional well-being, and group counseling, we believe this holistic approach will decrease students’ academic failure, enhance self-esteem, regenerate life skills, and increase family cohesiveness. By participating in the PASS Program as a team during school, the parent and child will be exposed to activities that potentially will impact the parent and child’s character enlargement as individuals and as a family, thus raising a child’s educational success rate via prevention to diminish excessive absences, failing grades, and damage of the family as a team.

Objectives and Purpose:

You do not have to have a student that attends to join, CPA's goal to have 100 members, so that our PASS Association can support our families, education initiatives, and purchase a book vending machine for our school, in support of our initiative to meet the academic needs of our students.
