July was a doozie for the kitties of Leuk's Landing. Even though we're only a few days into August, it too is looking to pose some challenges in terms of extraordinary medical bills for the kitties.

The good news is that most of these issues are not due to their Feline Leukemia. They are just "stuff" that all cats can get. But in the space of a short period of time, they have taken a bite out of our budget for the year.

Here's a sampling of the last month's extraordinary expenses:

4 cats with dentals to remove most teeth (good dental health is important to their overall health)
4 cats with FIP (Feline Infectious Peritonitis) which used to be 100% fatal but now we routinely treat and they are healthy after 84 days of treatment
2 cats with severe cases of Pancreatitis (one requiring ER visit and the other an ultrasound)

This is where the "partridge in a pear tree" comes in...anyway, we digress.

No donation is too small. They all add up.
