Hello! I’m Victoria Hookes and I’m in my high school’s robotics team, the Patribots! Our robotics team makes a robot every year that can overcome challenges specific to a game which changes yearly. We also compete in regionals against other teams. Last year our team even made worlds and ranked fourth! Robotics matters to me because I get to help collaborate with other people and learn about the mechanisms and parts of a robot while also having fun! This is especially interesting to me since I want to major in mechanical engineering. I have learned how to use various machines and use a CADing software called Onshape. I have also learned how to use the design process and prototype mechanisms. We would greatly appreciate any donations made which help pay for parts needed in the manufacturing process. It also helps pay for plane tickets, food, and hotels to stay at for far away robotics competitions. Thanks for your support!
