Madison is a motivated adaptive athlete who focuses on growing as an athlete and keeping her body moving. Madison has been competing nationally in swimming, track, and field meets since 2017 as part of Team PCAS. Most recently she has began to train and compete in paratriathlons. In addition to swimming year round for the YMCA, Madison also dances at KMC Dance where she has taken classes in various styles with her favorite being tap since the age of 3.
This is her second year of being the only adapted athlete to compete on her middle school track and field team. Madison placed in discus, shot put, 400m run, 800m run, and on a 4 x 400m relay to earn points for her team. She is training hard, and she has broken several records at her meets (4 National, 2 American, and 5 Junior National for her age and classification). Recently, Madison made the Team USA Paratriathlon Junior/U23 Development Team for 2022. For now she is ready to compete with Team PCAS at Move United Junior Nationals that will be held again in Denver, Colorado in July.
One of Madison’s long-term goals includes bringing awareness to the importance of offering adaptive sports programs for both wheelchair and ambulatory in sports like swimming and track/field to Pennsylvania. This allows athletes like herself to compete against non-disabled peers in high school athletics and be included in competitions just like non-disabled athletes. Another long-term goal is to compete on USA Paralympic Team in swimming and track/field if possible. Please consider donating to help Madison who is grateful for any support. Thank you so much for your generosity!
