For more than 25 years, I have been involved with Girls in the Game in a variety of capacities—as a volunteer, supporter and board member. In this time, I have seen the organization grow and evolve. The first year I volunteered, we were able to offer programs to about 250 girls per year, which is quite a contrast to the 3,500 girls we expect to serve this year alone! While it is rewarding to watch shy, young girls develop into confident women by taking part in our programs, it’s next-level inspiring to follow some of our alumni as they head off to college as first-generation college students and learn through their application essays that they recognize Girls in the Game as a key influence in their lives. Today, we even have alumni from our programs employed as staff in leadership roles. Please join me in supporting this wonderful organization as it celebrates its 30th anniversary!
