We believe and live by the transformative power of esports on the youth of our California communities. Since our founding in 2020, we have invested in the growth of California esports by delivering resources and programs like internships, workshops, scholarships, and more to high school and college esports clubs.

As a nonprofit, our lack of funding has been a significant challenge. With things as they stand, our organization is at risk of shutting down. Your donation to PEL would allow us to continue operating as an organization and deliver transformative resources and programs to school esports clubs across California.

Who We Are

We're the Pacific Esports League (PEL), a nonprofit esports organization aiming to grow the esports community across California high schools and colleges. We want to help students channel their passion for gaming into discovering their full potential through competition, professional esports industry workshops, developmental programs, and more. Gaming can reveal pathways to a wide range of careers, and we want to be the one to open that door for our students.

At PEL, we value positivity, community, and inclusion. We're laser-focused on creating an ecosystem and environment where students of various backgrounds can connect and compete, enabling everyone to grow and develop together.

Our Community-First Approach

The PEL esports ecosystem encourages students across California high schools and colleges to create gaming clubs within their local communities. From here, PEL provides resources and grants to these schools to ensure that both new and established clubs can continue to flourish.

Our competitions feature skill-based divisions that let players hone their skills in a structured, consistent environment. Another unique feature is our statewide matches that bolster the rivalries between NorCal and SoCal schools, giving them more motivation to play at their best. Through club grants and player scholarships, students and gaming clubs get the support they need in their studies and careers.

We also offer volunteer and internship opportunities for students interested in an esports career by working on projects that positively impact the California esports scene in schools. Together, we work to create a brighter future for California esports.

Your Donation Makes a Difference

So far, our tournaments have welcomed over 1,500 students from 250 unique high schools and colleges. Also, our volunteer and internship programs enabled over 50 students to gain job experience in the esports industry. Most recently, we also have 11 school clubs enrolled in our club development program, the Sapling Initiative, which reaches over 2,800 students in these school clubs combined.
