Hello my name is Nyah Patel, and I am the Volunteer Co-chair for the Drexel University Chapter. I am fundraising because I believe that it is so important to make sure no one feels alone. Feeling alone is a terrible feeling and I think that making new connections and finding things in common with other people is so amazing. I have had so many special experiences with seniors in my life especially those in my family. I used to live with my mother's parents growing up and was so appreciative for the time I had with them. My grandfather would make us food and play games with us all the time. I also learned so much about my culture from my grandmother and enjoyed watching shows and movies with her. I hope that every senior gets to have these connections with someone whether it be family or not. So donations to make it possible to create more of these pairs so no one is left feeling lonely.
