Hello! My name is Edie Lerner and I am the Director of Chapters. My work with Perfect Pair is incredibly meaningful to me, and I appreciate your support as we create meaningful intergenerational connections. I worked in a senior living community for 3 years, here, I saw the direct impact of COVID and social isolation on the residents I cared for every day. I also served as a founding executive board member with Perfect Pair on our first chapter at the University of Michigan. I had the privilege of bringing our program to the senior living community I was working in and running the program for the first time there. It was only days after the match's first meeting when I saw the impact Perfect Pair had on the residents who were paired with college students. The residents looked forward to their meetings and would tell me all about their pairs and the activities they did with them. It was heart-warming to see their smiling faces full of joy every time they talked to me about Perfect Pair. I have had many roles in this organization, and in each position, I get to see the incredible impact Perfect Pair has on the many communities we serve.
