Hello! My name is Rohita Ikkurthi, and I am the President of the Ohio State University chapter. My work with Perfect Pair is incredibly meaningful to me, and I appreciate your support as we create authentic intergenerational connections. I joined Perfect Pair to help create meaningful connections with senior adults, inspired by my own relationship with my grandparents. I appreciated the mentorship they were able to provide me and also realized how important company can be at that age. I am matched with Roza and meet her every week to do many fun activities like watching movies, playing cards or even just holding a meaningful conversation. Even though it hasn’t been long since I started volunteering with her, it has quickly become my favorite part of the week. What makes it worth it is the smile I see on Roza’s face each time I visit her and how much she appreciates our conversations and time spent together.
