Hello! My name is Harshi and I am the Publicity Chair of Perfect Pair Rutgers. My work with Perfect Pair is very meaningful to me, and I appreciate your support as we create authentic intergenerational connections. One special senior-student pair is Jay and Jerry who have love of meaningful conversations and exploring new experiences. Together, they share fascinating stories about friends and family, explore different parks, watch soccer together, and discuss their times at university. Other pairs connect through shared languages like Spanish and Arabic, create monthly book clubs, and have deep conversations about how they view the world. One resident shared, "At the age of 93, I have lost a lot of friends from my youth and had given up hope for finding new ones. The Perfect Pair program gave me contact with a remarkable young man that has rejuvenated me. We are so similar in personality that I consider him the best friend I have ever had. We share deep conversations about everything in our weekly get-togethers, and I am so grateful for the program that made it possible."
