Iran & Afghanistan Health Sovereignty

Persian and Farsi-Speaking people across the globe continue to face significant challenges including political repression, economic instability, and social injustice. The Persian community, which includes over 4 million Iranians living abroad, often seeks refuge from the stress and trauma that is tied to these issues, yet they also grapple with their own struggles such as maintaining cultural identity and organizing socially, culturally, economically, and politically. In collaboration with The Center for Mind-Body Medicine (CMBM), Dr. Noshene Ranjbar, Shahine Tavakoli, #CookForIran, and countless individual donors, EARTH is working to support and grow health sovereignty for the Persian Diaspora around the world. Hundreds of mind-body groups, workshops, and individual healing sessions have been facilitated by Farsi-speaking front line workers since March 2021. EARTH is providing support to these facilitators as they leverage their capacity to share stress and trauma healing with Farsi-speaking persons, to culturalize this work, build economic vitality, and more.
