PFLAG Enfield is a local chapter of the national PFLAG organization, proudly serving Enfield, Connecticut, and the surrounding communities. We are dedicated to supporting, educating, and advocating for LGBTQ+ individuals, their families, and allies.
Founded in 2022 by Donna Hamre, Brandon Jewell, Danielle Girrard, and Danny Clark, PFLAG Enfield was created to provide a safe and supportive space for LGBTQ+ people and those who love them. What began as a small support group has grown into a vibrant organization offering community events, advocacy initiatives, and opportunities to give back locally.
Our mission is to build on a foundation of loving families united with LGBTQ people and allies who support one another—and to educate ourselves and our communities to speak up as advocates until all hearts and minds respect, value, and affirm LGBTQ people.
We host monthly peer-led support meetings where individuals can share their stories, ask questions, and connect in a judgment-free, welcoming environment. In addition to our support work, we organize educational programs, partner with local organizations, and lead community events that promote visibility, inclusion, and pride.
No matter where you are on your journey, you are welcome here. At PFLAG Enfield, you’ll find connection, compassion, and a community that celebrates you—just as you are.
