Through support to cope with an adverse society, education to enlighten an ill-informed public, and advocacy to end discrimination and to secure equal civil rights, we provide the opportunity for dialogue about sexual orientation and gender identity and act to create a society that is healthy and respectful of human diversity.
We engage with our community in a variety of ways, the primary ones being:
- Creating education and safe school programs with the Gay/Straight Alliances in high schools
- Providing workshops and guidance to Bay Area organizations and corporations
- And of course, providing our vital support group, monitoring our help line, organizing activists, and participating in the many events that take place in our city
