PGH SK8 was formed in the beginning of 2023 after a group of roller skaters realized the passion and drive they all had to share the hobby they all loved.  By providing opportunities and equipment to City of Pittsburgh neighborhoods, we hope to raise awareness of skating as a viable and healthy activity for everyone.

For PGH SK8, roller skating is not just a recreational activity; it is a transformative journey that can nurture a sense of belonging, heal wounds, and ignite confidence. 

As we continue to share the joys of roller skating, PGH SK8 remains dedicated to paying homage to its origins and the invaluable role black culture has played in shaping its evolution. We strive to cultivate an environment where the roots of roller skating are not just acknowledged, but celebrated both on and off the rink.
