Turkeys! the Musical Comes to 21ten Theatre

Hey friends, family, wild turkeys, and theater lovers!

 

This Thanksgiving season, we’re taking Turkeys! The Musical outside of LA for the first time, for it's Portland, Oregon PREMIERE (!!!) at 21ten Theater.

 

A little about the play:

 

I've poured my heart and soul into Turkeys! The Musical, mounting it year over year in November, with a passionate cult following. It begins like an old fashioned Americana musical - a rebellious Turkey girl and her brooding crush fall in love. But as the killing season creeps in, they join up with their ragtag friends to face the truth about Thanksgiving.

 

 

1. Paying our incredible actors what they actually deserve for bringing the singing turkeys to life. We're trying to pay each actor $450 as a stipend for their work. It's not a lot but it goes a long way toward making this kind of passion project worthwhile.

2. Paying the theater costs: from costumes, to theater rental, to advertising, to lighting/sound and stage hands.

 

The actor life is a hustle, especially when you're putting on your own stuff (until it hits big) -- that said, doing plays like TURKEYS! The Musical is my favorite thing in the world. It’s funny, it’s fun, but it's also meant to lift up the soul.

 

Any amount helps. Seriously. $5, $10, $50, $100 (or more??? -- you're a turkey angel!!). Whatever you can give makes a big difference.
