Picnic Tables for Peers

The Warren County History Museum moved into its current building in 2016 and has been on a mission to grow and expand its exhibit and space offerings to the community. The museum is interested in developing the outdoor space it has for the community and the kids who inhabit it. WCHM is hoping to start this project by first giving our outdoor space a place where friends, family, and students of all ages can sit and enjoy the weather and the gorgeous landscape. Picnic tables are vital for this project, but can be pricey for a non-profit. At around $1,000 a table, we would love to have 3 total picnic tables we can install outside by our "Plants of the Prairie" living exhibit so that folks can sit and enjoy the environment, eat a meal, or chat with friends. This will be exceptionally helpful with field trips which we hope to begin pushing hard in the Spring of 2023. We believe this would also be nice for the local college kids. It would give them a space off campus to sit in the quiet and enjoy a place where they can study and relax in solitude, while also giving them access to the museum, and the educational resources it provides.
