Periods Aren’t Optional—But Access Shouldn’t Be a Privilege

Pink Panties Pantry™ is a She Stories initiative providing free period care kits to unhoused women and girls across Southern California.

Each Pink Pack™ is filled with essentials like pads, tampons, wipes, soap, and new underwear—offering hygiene, dignity, and compassion.

Because without access, many are forced to use socks, rags, plastic bags, or toilet paper—unsafe alternatives that lead to infection, shame, and isolation.

💗 How We Serve

We show up in two powerful ways:

✨ Pink Panties Party
We gather with volunteers to assemble care kits and distribute them to local shelters and women’s centers.

✨ Strategic Partnerships
We work with trusted organizations—especially those serving Skid Row and surrounding areas—to get Pink Packs™ directly into the hands of those who need them most.

What’s Inside Each Pink Pack™:

• 5 pads

• 5 tampons

• 2 pairs of brand-new underwear

• Travel-size feminine wipes

• Travel-size hand sanitizer

• A waterproof, resealable pouch

• A “Dear Beautiful” card—a simple note of encouragement and self-respect, reminding her that her dignity still matters

Each Pink Pack™ is small enough to carry, but powerful enough to say: You are seen. You are worthy. You matter.

The Impact So Far:

Together, we’ve assembled and distributed over 3,000 Pink Packs™—restoring dignity, one kit at a time.

We’ve donated kits directly to incredible organizations serving women and girls across Southern California, including: House of Ruth, Hope for Homes, Love My Neighbor Foundation, Inland Valley Hope Partners, Union Stations Pasadena and Foothill Family Shelter.

We’ve also partnered with amazing collaborators like Western University of Health Sciences, Emmanuel Church, Zeta Amicae of Gardena, NCNW Pomona Valley and Our Culture Hub Foundation, who’ve helped us collect, pack, and distribute care kits through student engagement, volunteer support, and resource sharing.

Plus, we’ve teamed up with local women-owned businesses and placed donation drop boxes across the City of Claremont—proving that when women show up for each other, impact multiplies.
