We are the Pink Unicorns (Vex Team 2145). We are ambitious teenagers who are part of a private non-profit organization funded by sponsors. We found each other through our past experiences in VEX with one another. We saw the dedication in each and every one of us and decided to become a team. Even though we live far from each other, we organize our time and manage ourselves well so no time is wasted.

You might be asking, “How did you guys come up with this name?” Well, one of our members lost a bit with his sister, so we had to name our team “Pink Sparklee Unicorns,” with the irony of “Sparklee” being spelled wrong.

Our robotics program is among the top in the country. This past season, our five Pink Unicorn teams competed in over 20 tournaments across the United States, including Ohio, Minnesota, West Virginia, Tennessee, Utah, Washington, and Virginia. We have received over 65+ awards this season and are about to compete at the VEX Robotics World Championship in St. Louis, Missouri, an international event featuring over 800 qualified teams from around the globe. We’re proud to share that both our high school & middle school team brought home the Tournament Champion Award for the State of Virginia, which recognize the two first place teams that have won the overall match competition.
