February 27 and March 18 will always be two of our favorite days; the day Piper James was born and the
day she was able to come home.

21 days may not seem like a long time – but when your child lays in an isolette surrounded by wires and
beeping machines, has a tube down their nose to feed them and IVs to help provide further nutrition; when
you have to buzz through the security door and ask permission to hold them - 21 days feels like a lifetime.
A year later we are still working through the trauma of a premature birth, but immense amount of healing
has happened in our home thanks for Project NICU and their amazing support and resources.

To celebrate Piper’s 1 st Birthday we are partnering with Project NICU in hopes to donate 100 care packages
to the UnityPoint Health Bettendorf & Moline NICUs and 50 care packages to Genesis Health Systems
NICU for families that are embarking on or currently in their NICU journey.

That is 150 chances to impact the lives of these families fighting so hard for their babies that aren’t quite ready to come home.

We will deliver these packages to the NICUs on March 18 in honor of Piper’s NICU Graduation date.
Gifts made through this campaign are tax-deductible and will stay in the Quad Cities area to support NICU
babies, families and medical professionals through care packages, bonding hearts, treats and continued
resources.
