When Navy Veteran Patriotic Kenny's mobility scooter broke down, he was heartbroken. You see, that scooter was the ticket out of isolation and access to his beloved community. Because he has COPD and cannot walk long distances, he was fully reliant on his scooter to get to and from the outside world -- to connect with his friends and neighbors he loves and brings joy to.

But, when his community learned about Kenny's loss, they rallied around him to buy a brand new, top-of-the-line scooter that knocked his socks off! You may have seen his overwhelmed and emotional reaction to the first GoFundMe we set up to fund the scooter purchase. Since so many thousands of people from around the world stepped up to support Kenny, he couldn't help but want to give back to other Veterans who are also in need of scooters to get around in their day-to-day lives. "Why not just go through the VA"? Books could be published with the stories of loved ones passing before they made it through the red tape, if they qualify at all. Not only that, but the scooters that are eventually provided are not the best quality and usually require maintenance not long after purchase. These veterans deserve better!
