The founder of PLAN4SUCCESS has a son that attended the University of Chicago Laboratory Schools, one of the top schools in the nation for high school. During this time he had 3 cousins shot in the city of Chicago. Being a community advocate for our youth, our Founding Executive Director, Nickie Brookens wanted to do something to combat the statistical deficit faced for underserved students based on the lack of resources that lead to opportunities for more successful outcomes. With the help of the Board of Directors, volunteers, and private donations we are making a difference in the lives of our youth. Having worked with youth from all socio-economic levels, the goal was to explore meeting the needs of our middle to low income student populations who lose out on opportunities and resources to academically high achieving students who can produce data on plausible ROI outcomes. All students deserve a chance to change and grow into the possibility of who they can become. OUR YOUTH, OUR FUTURE

The primary focus of PLAN4SUCCESS is to conduct workshops and conference events to provide life skills, career development and training, and post-secondary financial assistance. PLAN4SUCCESS maximizes its reach and impact by using a Community Network structure, enabling youth to interact with hundreds of resources.

COLLEGE ADVISORY BOARD MISSION

The College Advisory Board is led by amazing students. They have created programming by college students for college students. The CAB is in the process of establishing "Ambassadors" in schools across the nation to meet the goals and objectives of their mission. The mission is to create opportunities to intersect between college life, lived experiences, and civic engagement.  We build community through the combination of sharing knowledge, developing skill sets, and networking.
