The Story Behind Beth’s Roots of Hope

Beth’s Roots of Hope was created to honor the legacy of Beth Hull, a stubborn, strong woman who loved deeply and lived large.

She believed that even in the hardest seasons of life, you live fully, love loudly, and take care of people however you can. If someone needed help, she didn’t measure what she had first, she simply gave. Whether it was time, encouragement, a meal, or her last few dollars, Beth made people feel seen, valued, and supported.

Her children, Amanda and Brandon, grew up witnessing their mom's resilience, working to give them a better life. They experienced both the beauty of her giving heart and the challenges that come with navigating life in a single-guardian household. After losing their mom to cancer September 2025, they carried her love and values onward but also the harsh reality of losing your mom young. They became determined to keep Beth's legacy alive.

From that motivation, Beth’s Roots of Hope was born.

Designed by Beth’s kids to reflect her values and shaped by their own lived experiences, the foundation exists to support single-guardian household's with dignity, choice, autonomy, and empowerment. The goal is to go beyond donations of supplies but to give forward in a way that protects pride and restores confidence with deep understanding of what families like theirs truly need. Not just resources, but hope, opportunity and independence.

We believe there are many situations that people don’t think twice about because of access and resources but for kids like Brandon and Amanda, those situations created worry, embarrassment and stuck with them. Brandon became inspired to build a program that acknowledged the confidence, individuality and pride that shopping for your own sports gear, like cleats can have. Amanda remembers a time that she wasn't going to be able to return to her lacrosse team because of the signup cost, until coaches stepped in and gave Amanda the support without labels or judgement.

Things like getting sports pictures alongside their teammates picking out your birthday outfit, choosing your holiday gifts, preparing for a school dance without worry. These moments may seem small, but for a child, they shape identity, belonging, and self-worth.

Guardians hold so much on their shoulders and miss out on many joys of parenting when finances are limited. Amanda and Brandon want to honor these guardians by providing resources in a way that centers choice and inclusion. Embracing the family unit, increases connection, momentum and less isolation.

We believe support should feel empowering, not exposing. Hope should feel rooted, not temporary. Seeking support is not weakness but strength that only parents are capable of having.

Beth planted seeds of generosity everywhere she went.

This foundation is how those seeds continue to grow.
