What is Positive Options Golf Marathon?
Whether you’re a beginner or a pro golf player – all are invited to have fun raising support for Positive Options. When compared to a traditional golf tournament, golf marathons are more fun and more profitable for the benefiting charity.

Here's the Fun Part
Yes, you will play 100 holes or more. No, we're not kidding. With adjusted play rules, many golfers exceed 100 holes. In fact, the record for a golf marathon is an amazing 425 holes in one day! Several changes in the format of the game are made to speed up the play...

Every golfer has his own cart and plays at his own speed (depending if you are a competitive golfer or a leisure golfer)
Golfers may hit multiple balls, and each ball counts as one hole played
We play "ready golf"
No looking for lost balls; simply drop another ball and keep hitting
You may play any hole, or series of holes, in any order as many times as you want after the first round

What's In It for Me?

Besides a lot of fun and the satisfaction of helping Positive Options in a big way, you will receive...

Breakfast, a golf cart to use, continuous refreshments (non-alcoholic) throughout the day, a great Lunch,
and Dinner with awards at the end of the completed round!
A fun swag bag filled with goodies.

Ok, What's the Catch?

Well, there really isn't any catch. Each golfer who participates in the Golf Marathon will be required to do three things:

Give a day & serve the ministry by playing golf at the golf course.
Your $50 registration fee is due in advance.
Solicit sponsorships from work colleagues, family, and friends with a goal of raising an additional $24+ per hole… that amounts to $2,500 each golfer can raise for this most worthwhile cause of saving lives. So, you can see with a field of 36 golfers, each raising $2,500, we could almost reach our goal of $107,000. WOW!

HOW TO PARTICIPATE?

(new this year) To participate as a GOLFER, there will be a $50 registration fee per PLAYING GOLFER
(Not tax deductible nor refundable). Please make a payment HERE or send us a check in the mail to:

EACH golfer will do their own fundraising. There will be no teams this year.
Golfers are welcome to bring along a caddie but will be placed with another golfer at their assigned starting hole.
You can be sponsored "per hole" or a one-time donation.

Again this year: Golf as many holes as you can.
Competitive golfers will start in the WHITE nine holes in the morning and switch to the BLUE holes in the afternoon.
Leisure golfers will golf BLUE holes in the morning/switch to WHITE holes in the afternoon.
