Help Refill the Shelves — Support Our Local Food Banks

Right now, our local food banks are facing one of the most difficult seasons in recent memory. Shelves that were once full are nearly bare. Lines are growing longer. Families who’ve never had to ask for help before are now struggling to put food on the table.

Due to funding cuts and rising demand, Distributors have been forced to reduce the amount of food distributed on each truck, leaving many of our local food pantries with critical shortages. In Hopkins, Caldwell, and Muhlenberg Counties, those trucks—and the volunteers waiting to unload them—are the lifeline that keeps our neighbors fed.

The United Way of the Coalfield is stepping in to help. Together with local industries, schools, and community partners, we’re launching an emergency food drive and fundraising effort to refill those shelves and make sure no family goes hungry this winter.
