Pottery And Purpose is a creative cohort designed to serve young people connected to Turntable, offering a space where they can slow down, create, and experience meaningful connection.

This initial pilot brings together a small group over six sessions, where participants are introduced to the art of hand building ceramics while also being invited into reflection, conversation, and personal growth.

Why Pottery?

Through the process of working with clay—shaping, breaking, and rebuilding—participants are invited into a journey that mirrors real life: one where growth often comes through process, patience, and care.

The program is rooted in a faith-informed perspective that believes every person has inherent value, purpose, and the capacity for growth and restoration.

WHAT THE PROGRAM LOOKS LIKE

This 6-session cohort includes:

Guided creative instruction in hand building ceramics
Space for individual reflection during the creative process
Facilitated group conversations
Opportunities for encouragement and personal support

Each session is designed to engage both:

The hands (through making)
The heart (through reflection and conversation)

Pottery And Purpose is led by experienced facilitators who bring a combination of:

Experience in mentoring and group facilitation
A deep commitment to seeing people grow in wholeness and purpose

For both of us, Pottery And Purpose grows out of our own experiences of healing, creativity, and personal transformation.

We've seen how easily fear, disappointment, and painful experiences can shape the way people view themselves and their future. We've also experienced the power of being encouraged, heard, and given space to grow.

Through pottery, creativity becomes more than making something with your hands—it becomes an opportunity to slow down, reflect, process, and discover new possibilities. Our hope is to create an environment where young people are strengthened, encouraged, and reminded that their story has value and purpose.

At its core, this program is about creating a space where people are not just taught a skill—but are known, encouraged, and strengthened.

Our fundraising goal of $5,000 will not only fund the launch of this initial pilot cohort, but also help establish a foundation for future Pottery And Purpose programs.

In addition to materials, firing, equipment, and leadership support for this first group, funds will help build the tools, resources, and sustainability needed to serve future participants in the years ahead.

We're not simply funding six sessions—we're helping establish an environment where creativity, healing, and purpose can continue to grow.
