Invest in New Mexico's County and Tribal Health Councils

County & Tribal health Councils play a pivotal role in improving the health and well-being of communities. We call upon individuals, organizations, community leaders, policymakers, the business sector and philanthropists to rally together and commit to investing in our local Health Councils across New Mexico. CDC / WK Kellogg Funding during COVID-19 has made the impossible possible for health councils, however, this funding ends on May 31st, 2024, we are raising a minimum of $3 million to keep health councils operating for one more year!

Let us work hand in hand to:

1. Leverage Health Council’s capacity building and set them up for success.
2. Advocate for equitable policies and legislation that address social determinants of health, promote inclusive healthcare access, and ensure fair resource allocation.
3. Increase funding and support for our local Health Councils, who provide critical support to our most affected communities (rural, border, and Tribal).
4. Foster collaboration and partnership among partners from different sectors to develop innovative solutions that tackle the root causes of health disparities.
5. Promote cultural humility and diversity in healthcare institutions and ensure that healthcare providers are trained in providing culturally sensitive care.
6. Prioritize research and data collection that examines health disparities and informs evidence-based interventions.
