Donate for a better, brighter future for incarcerated people.

Together we are changing the lives of the most forgotten men and women in America, and together, we are building a better, safer tomorrow.

Your generous donation makes a difference. Help us continue to keep our courses free to incarcerated students by covering the costs of stamps, or dictionaries, or envelopes, or the cost of our "mail room" for one week!

As a correspondance program, our big expenses are printing, envelopes, and postage plus staff time to keep the mail moving. Our team of part-time staff and volunteers helped get 4932 pieces of mail out the door to students all across the country in 2023.  All this snail mail comes and goes from our "mail room".

If you're reading this page, then I know you believe in the power and importance of education to change lives. Perhaps you've realized how much your own education has helped shape your life and the opportunities you've had.

You can help us continue to reach men and women in prison who desire to change their lives for the better and who are deeply grateful for the opportunity to become a part of the community that is College Guild!

Studies show that:

Incarcerated people who participate in education programs see a 43% reduction in recidivism rates.

For every $1 invested in education for someone in prison means taxpayers save $4-$5 in re-incarceration costs.

Incarcerated people who were enrolled in college classes committed 75% fewer infractions than incarcerated people who were not enrolled.

Education while in prison has many positive effects on the children of the incarcerated, offering a chance to break the intergenerational cycle of inequality and incarceration.

And according to our students…

“To many prison inmates, such as myself, the courses offered by College Guild provide the only opportunity for a positive educational experience. I have been enrolled in College Guild courses for nearly ten years. This opportunity has given me a chance to participate in academic programs that I would not have been able to afford otherwise.”
