The Big Barn is at capacity, and our two smaller barns are not ready for winter.

The clock is ticking, and we have a long to-do list, and we need your help! Three sided structures full of windy gaps is not sufficient.

We are working with local contractors to:

Winterize The Bess Barn (aka the Potbelly/Quarantine Barn)

Repair and rebuild the roof on the pole barn. Currently, it snows in the barn due to missing roofing components on the sides and ridge. This prevents us from using the barn all year round!
Insulate the walls to keep the warm air in and cold air out
Insulate and rebuild the barn door to prevent drafts and snow drifts from entering the barn

Winterize The New Potbelly Barn

Finish the siding of the new Potbelly Barn
Finish building out the roof and soffits to ensure that the barn
Insulate the walls to ensure we can combat the hardcore winter temperatures
Build stalls to ensure separation areas as needed
Build a hay loft and storage area for access to bedding & feed

These are two massive efforts to improve existing structures that are just not up to snuff. We're lucky to have such good starting points, and we know we can make this happen.

The walls are see-through and drafty in the winter.
