November is Prematurity Awareness Month—a necessary time to raise awareness of the maternal and infant health crisis of preterm birth.  The Epsilon Chapter of Delta Psi Rho Sorority Inc. created the Preemie Peonies Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) Care Package Initiative, a heartfelt initiative dedicated to supporting premature babies and their parents during their challenging journey. Our mission is to create a nurturing environment that fosters hope, strength, and resilience within these families. Through Preemie Peonies, we offer care packages for tiny fighters and their parents, all adorned with the symbolic peony, a flower known for its resilience and beauty. We aim to bloom a garden of hope in the lives of preemies and their families, helping them thrive during their early days of life. 

Last year, through the generosity of our community, we raised over $500. We supported five families with comfort items such as preemie diapers, wipes, bottles, hats, hand mittens, blankets, swaddles, snacks, and journals. We hope to increase our fundraising efforts to support 10 preemies and their families this year. 

Your generosity will directly benefit families caring for premature infants and help us provide them with added comfort and support as they navigate the uncertainties of preterm birth. We would greatly appreciate any contributions you can provide for this year’s campaign.
