Story

Since 2015, Chloe Woodruff has pedaled the full length of the 56-mile Prescott Circle Trail on an annual basis. The trail has helped her prepare for some of the biggest races of her career-- the U.S. National MTB Championships, the Andalucia Bike Race, and the Rio Olympics. Most importantly, the trail inspires her to challenge herself and she loves hearing stories about how the trail inspires others as well.

With the  global pandemic dramatically changing the world as we know it, everyone has faced unique challenges. With races cancelled or postponed (including the Tokyo Olympics) Chloe had to adjust her goals for the year and re-examine her relationship with the sport of mountain biking. What she's discovered is that she still believes there's no better way to explore a place than off-road on two wheels, and that she's motivated by the idea of sharing what she loves about the sport with others.

With lots of input from friends and community members, Chloe launched this project to fund maintenance projects along the Prescott Circle Trail through the Prescott Mountain Bike Alliance. She's incredibly grateful for the hard work it took to build and establish this trail, and also recognizes that trail projects need continual investment. This is the inaugural year of the Prescott Circle Trail Challenge, but this project is just beginning. Chloe hopes to inspire locals and visitors on an annual basis, and is working towards creating something that lasts.

Thanks for your support!
