Growing up, I did not have a very safe space to be my true authentic self. I did not know or fully understand what resources were available or how grand our community truly was and still is. Pride in Dallas has turned my life around. Realizing that there is much more than what meets the eye, when it comes to our community. Outside of rainbows and butterflies there are so many outstanding people and organizations here to help us to be our best selves. Encouraging us to live happy and healthy life free of hate. I was welcomed with open arms, taught multiple life lessons. And I can honestly say that, I’ve truly gained a wonderful family, such as Pride in Dallas within the community. I’ve met so many encouraging, strong, mindful, and intelligent individuals thriving within us. My ultimate goal is to continue to help grow our community and it’s allies and ensure a safe space without boundaries to hold us back.
