ABOUT PROJECT 351

Project 351's "Ambassador Journey" brings together almost 370 eighth-graders from every city and town in Massachusetts—known as Project 351 Ambassadors—for a year of leadership development and service. Twice a year, Ambassadors participate in Service Leadership Academy, where they learn about social issues (such as poverty and hunger) and learn skills to lead campaigns that address these issues from experts in the field.

Equipped with these skills, knowledge, and confidence, Ambassadors lead service projects as part of four statewide Project 351 Campaigns. These include a clothing drive that collects Cradles to Crayons' largest in-kind donation every year and the largest youth-led food drive in the country.

Alumni from this program stay involved as part of the Alumni Leadership Council and the Alumni Organization, both of which function as a service leadership continuum. Among many other things, Alumni lead smaller service projects in their regions throughout the year and provide near-peer mentorship to the new class of Ambassadors.

Project 351 is an independent nonprofit entirely funded by the generosity of values-aligned individuals, foundations, and corporations. Your donation of any size is an investment in our youth and their futures!
