Project S.H.O.E.S.
Every year, 22 billion pairs of shoes land in landfills. Most take over 1,000 years to disappear. Not because there is no other option. Because the infrastructure to rescue them has never existed at scale.
Until now.
EarthDNA is a Boston-based climate tech nonprofit building Project S.H.O.E.S. — the world's first AI-native operating system for the circular economy. Our three AI models, ShoeDNA, ValueLens, and CircularSort, work together to identify any shoe, assess its condition, estimate its market value, and route it to the highest-impact next destination: resale, repair, donation, or material recovery.
We launched at the 130th Boston Marathon on April 20, 2026, where hundreds of Planetary Healers scanned shoes, contributed data, and helped build the most comprehensive footwear dataset in the United States.
Your donation funds the models, the infrastructure, and the next phase of deployment. We measure success in tons diverted and materials recovered. Not reports.
EarthDNA is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit. All gifts are tax-deductible. We accept DAF grants and work with program officers on milestone-based restricted giving.
Every pair rescued starts with a scan. Every scan starts with your support.
