Our NICU journey began at 32 weeks, when Emersyn was born early due to severe pre-eclampsia. Emersyn spent the next 37 days in the NICU, learning how to breath and eat. Emersyn left the NICU on oxygen, but today is thriving! She is our little miracle and we want to continue to help other parents that find themselves in the NICU. No one plans or is prepared for watching their baby covered in tubes and wires or not being able to hold them.

Our time in the NICU was the hardest days of our lives, but also the most inspiring. Watching Emersyn fight every single day will be something we never forget. But we also struggled mentally and emotionally. We felt isolated and alone. Because of that experience, we want to help other parents in the NICU. We know that having a support system and people that understand what the NICU is like, is so important for your healing after the NICU. Project NICU will allow us to give back to other parents in the NICU and help them celebrate and honor their own little miracles!

Project NICU offers connection, support and community to all involved in the NICU Journey. From NICU Care Packages, Peer Support, Graduate Programming, events and more we are here for every step of the journey. Led by NICU Parents, our programs are designed with first hand experience with support by NICU medical professionals on our advisory board to truly create an environment where families and NICU Teams can feel supported.
