MMC Prom Dan and Laree Zant

Dan and Laree’s journey began on a dusty T-ball field when they were just five years old—two
kindergarten teammates with no idea they’d one day be dancing together at prom… twice. Fast
forward to senior year, and Dan, the shy but strategic quarterback, finally worked up the nerve to
ask Laree, the high-flying gymnast, out on a date. Turns out, she’d been flipping for him all
along.
From that moment on, the quarterback and the gymnast were inseparable. Their love story
carried them through college at the University of Georgia, where they both earned degrees and
later cheered on their own children as they became proud UGA grads too.
Today, Dan and Laree have traded playbooks and balance beams for bike trails and porch swings.
You’ll find them pedaling through town or relaxing on the front porch of their charming historic
home, still very much in love—and still making each other laugh like it’s 1990.
