My Dad was diagnosed with Renal Cell Carcinoma a form of kidney cancer, and I watched him battle it for 3 years. It was one of the hardest things I’ve ever experienced in my life. Watching him continue to live his life to the fullest every day was something that actually helped me fine joy in the darkness. Every day, he was still the best husband, dad, and grandfather to my family. He would continue to preach on Sundays and be his goofy self until his last day. Watching him breathe his last breaths was extremely hard, but I felt no fear knowing he truly won his fight with cancer. I’m so happy to be a part of this fundraiser so I can help others who are going through similar experiences. It’s also an awesome way for me to honor my Dad’s legacy.
