The Workers Center for Racial Justice is honored to celebrate the life of Brent Reddrick Hamlet, a pillar of our organization, philosophy and community, with this fundraiser. Brent is with us in our hearts and our spirits every day, as we continue the fight for Black liberation.

We thank Brent's family members for their suggestion of this monthly donor drive in honor of his 38th birthday. As Brent's Aunt Cynthia reminded us: If he were here, Brent would be organizing and fundraising for our movement. He would be rallying his wide network of friends, family, colleagues, students and comrades to fight the rising tide of authoritarianism.

Brent was a long-term, strategic thinker, and the foundations he helped us lay continue to guide the Workers Center for Racial Justice as our hometown of Chicago faces a full-on assault at the hands of the Trump administration. By pooling our resources to fund liberation work in an increasingly hostile political climate, we can channel Brent's passionate energy and sustain the power of the community that he helped to build.
